National Register of Historic Places – Trade Street, Tryon, NC

At the December meeting of the National Park Service, Tryon’s Trade Street was awarded this “notable distinction,” according to the Tryon Daily Bulletin (TDB) on February 2, 2016. This distinction takes in the area around the clock tower, the Nina Simone statue and the railroad crossing near Tryon’s mascot, Morris the Horse.
