Our Carolina Foothills, Inc sent out a post via email on July 15, 2016, updating all sponsors on the Art of the Horse and thanking them again for their participation in this “highly successful Public Art project!” One such sponsor was Bonnie Lingerfelt of RE/MAX Advantage Realty in Tryon, NC. “International Destinations” has been on display there for a couple of months and has been a big hit. He will be missed!
The horses will be picked up from their current locations in “Four Towns and “Two States” from August 10 through August 12. They will relocate to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), where they will prepare for a live auction that takes place on August 19. The final part of this project begins on August 13 during the Saturday Night Lights event and concludes with that live auction on the 19th.
The Saturday Night Lights event is free and open to the public. Come early and stay late. A huge crowd is expected along with the press, both “local and regional.” Tickets are being sold for the auction through August 10. Seats are limited, so get your tickets now, and prepare to bid! 25% of the proceeds will pay the talented artists, whereas 75% goes back into “promoting Our Carolina Foothills through media and events.”
All of the horses will be on display at the TIEC until the live auction, so if you have not seen all of them, that would be the perfect opportunity to do so. Mark your calendars and plan your visit today!
